C18 facades but No 34 has some timber framing visible inside passage. No 28 said
to have timber framed section included in rear of house. Facade rendered, Nos
30 and 32 painted brick, No 34 stuccoed. No 28, old tiled roof, rest tiled. 2
storeys, Nos 30 and 32 with an attic storey with 2 dormers. 7 windows, No 28 has
sashes with glazing bars and a C19 canted bay with unbarred sashes balustrade.
Tent shaped canopy, pediment, with brackets above door. The rest have altered
C19 shop windows and sashes with late C19 glazing.
Nos 20 to 46 (even) including the Bugle Hotel and its outbuilding form a group.
(Nos 44 and 46 are buildings of local interest).
