Bank, with lecture room above, 1866. Snecked sandstone with ashlar dressings
amd quoins; roof has alternating bands of Lakeland slate and fishscale Welsh
slate, with stone gable copings. T-plan. Gothic style. 2 storeys, 3 bays,
the central projecting. Double 8-panel doors under 3 cusped stone overlights
and 2-centred relieving arch in right bay; 3 chamfered stone cusped lancets
above have sloping sills. Gabled centre bay has double boarded doors with
elaborate hinges under blind plate tracery in 2-centred arch with wide chamfer.
2 transomed lancets above with blind quatrefoil under 2-centred head. Left bay
has 3 ground-floor lancets under relieving arch, and 3 first-floor lancets.
Roll-moulded apex on each gable coping.
