Gazebo and garden wall. Mid C18. Coursed squared sandstone with tooled ashlar
dressings; stone-flagged roof with stone copings and finial. Wall of coursed
rubble with flat coping. 2 storeys, one bay. Ground-floor arched recess
facing garden in front of house has rusticated voussoirs, keystone and impost
blocks on rusticated jambs. Similar surround to round-headed first-floor
window with broad intersecting glazing bars. Quoins in similar style on first
floor only. Pyramidal hipped roof with swept eaves has stone kneelers above
eaves on each ridge; large acorn finial with pennant-shaped bronze wind-vane.
Recess contains stone bench; in front is an oval stone pedestal table.
Flanking stepped walls continue around vegetable garden to rear, with heated
wall.
