Early-mid C19 terrace, each house 2 storeys attic 2 windows. Tall slated mansard
roof with dormers. Stock brick, stucco frieze, cornice and blocking course. Banded
rusticated stucco ground floor forming voussoirs to round-arched openings. 1st
floor windows sashes some with full glazing bars, others vertical bars only, in
moulded architraves with cornices over and ornamental cast iron balconies. Ground floor
sash windows with glazing bars. Doors of 2 long or 3 wide panels with fluted quadrant
pilasters, cornice heads (some with mutules) and fanlights, mostly patterned. No 288 has
been much altered, with pebbledashed front and modern casements, but is included
so as not to split the terrace. Outer houses have entrances on returns.

Nos 276 to 302 (even) form a group.
