Milestone. Probably mid/late C18, Bath to Cirencester road
turnpiked in 1743. Single rounded stone slab about 0.8m high set
into wall with attached iron plate painted white and embossed
lettering. Inscription reads "XIII / To CIRENCESTER / III / To
TETBURY / XX / To BATH". Bench mark below plate.
