about 20 metres W of
Corner Farmhouse

GV II

Barn and integral cartway. Circa late C17. Weatherboarded timber
frame on rendered brick plinth. Gable-ended roof clad in
corrugated iron. Plan: 3 bays, the north bay is a cartway.
Exterior: Full height cartway to left with curved braces to
posts, later range attached on left. At rear (east) facing road
cartway to right with curved braces and plank double doors and
smaller door to right. Inside the cartway weatherboarded
partition with doorway to central bay. Interior: 3-bay frame, the
north bay the cartway. Jowled posts, mid-rail, studs, curved
tension braces, curved braces to tie-beams, queen-struts
supporting clasped purlins; only some of the common rafters remain.
