Cottage. Late C17 with later additions and alterations. Pebbledash
concealing timber frame on rendered plinth; slate roof. 2-cell plan.
One storey and attic; 2 late C19 casements to centre and small window
to right, late C20 casement to left and C19 gabled eaves dormer to
centre. Integral end stack to right and similar truncated end stack
to left. Entrance through C20 single-storey lean-to to rear (not
of special architectural interest). Interior: framing exposed to cross-
wall and part of back wall. Large partly infilled inglenook fireplace
to right room. Formerly a toll-keeper's cottage on the Shrewsbury
to Whitchurch turnpike road.
