Cottage. C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber framed
with painted brick infill and rebuilding; slate roof. One storey and
attic; 2 or 3 framed bays. Framing: mixed square and rectangular panels,
2 and 3 from cill to wall-plate, partly rebuilt in brick and painted
black and white in imitation of timber frame; slightly overhanging
collar to left gable end and single-purlin ends visible to right.
Mid-C19 casement with shutter to left of mid-C19 boarded door and contemporary
fixed-light window to left of plank door to right of centre; gabled
timber framed dormer with 3-light casement directly above boarded door.
Internal red brick end stack behind ridge to left. Interior: inspection
not possible at time of resurvey (February 1986) but likely to be of
interest.
