GV II

House, now divided. C16 to the rear, C18 front with late C19 addition in similar
style to the left end. Timber frame with brick infill to the rear, redbrick on
rendered plinth to the front; plain tiled roofs with stacks to right end and to
rear. Front: 2 storeys divided by plat band with attic under gabled dormers
behind parapet to the right; symmetrical five bay front with gabled end bays
projecting. Glazing bar sash window under drip hood mouldings; arched niche
to first floor centre with brick panel above in projecting break. Part glazed
door under bracketed porch hood to right of centre, further door in left hand
gabled bay. 3 bay extension to the left with end gable bay projecting in
similar style; glazing bar sash windows under cambered heads. To rear of left
hand return front "The Cottage": Timber frame, brick infill, plain tiled roof,
1 storey and attic. Large sash window to the right, small casement to the left
central 6 panel door in pent roof porch. C19 slate roof extension to left.
