Pair of Barton headstones approximately18 metres south west of the tower of the Church of St Mary

Pair of adjacent headstones. Dated 1774 and 1771 in memory of members of the Barton family. Sandstone. Two similar headstones standing close to one another. Both are upright slabs with curvilinear-shaped double heads and both are inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering including some italics. The right one stands approximately1.2 metres high and records the deaths of Barbara Barton in 1774 and her husband Anthony in 1783. The left one stands approximately1 metre high and records the death of the rector Thomas Barton in 1771 and his wife Elizabeth in 1763.
