Said to be of C15 origin but largely altered in the Cl8. The front has Cl8 features.
A timber-framed and plastered house with gabled wings which project slightly at
the north and south ends of the front. 2 storeys and attics, 1:2:1 window range,
double-hung sashes, mainly with glazing bars, The windows in the north and south
wings are 3-light. There are 2 doorways with panelled pilasters, frieze and cornice.
Roofs tiled, with moulded wood eaves cornice and 2 C19 gabled dormer windows.
The south gable has exposed timber-framing. (RCHM 14).

All the listed buildings around The Green form a group. (Nos 8,10,38,52, and 25 are
buildings of local interest.)
