line 4 ofthe description shall be replaced by "Ground floor Venetian windows each have a central
unhorned 3/2 sash with margin lights, with 2/2 unhorned side sashes".

In line 11 "wings" shall be substituted for "extensions".

In line 22 the sentence "Doors with 6 sunk panels..." shall be amended to read "Doors with 6 sunk
panels; plain marble fireplaces and some of painted stone with original cast iron and tiled grates".

The statutory list was previously amended in respect of this entry on 4 August 1994.

Pair of houses. 1862. By Samuel Baldiston. White brick laid in
Flemish bond under slate roofs.
3-storey central block divided by central and side pilasters
into 2 bays; each bay with one window to each floor. Ground
floor Venetian windows each have a central 3/3 unhorned sash,
with 2/2 unhorned side sashes. Moulded string course at first
floor. Two 6/6 unhorned sashes to first floor with stuccoed
hoods on brackets. 2 smaller 3/3 unhorned sashes under eaves
interrupting dentilled eaves course. Hipped roof with central
stack.
To right and left are 2-storey extensions set-back from
elevation of 2 window bays each. Inner bays have a 6-panelled
door under a stuccoed arch with plain fanlight. Outer bays lit
through a 6/6 unhorned sash under a stuccoed head on brackets.
Similar window above with a reduced stuccoed head and a small
arched sash over the doorway. Hipped roof with a stack on side
slope. C20 garage extensions attached to these side blocks.
Rear elevation is in red brick and has 2 eccentric centre
gables and a gabled extension projecting north to right and
left.
INTERIOR: entrance hall with archway. Staircase has turned
balusters and a ramped and wreathed handrail. Doors with 6
sunk panels; plain marble fireplaces.
