Description

TQ 81 NE UDIMORE RYE ROAD

24/10 Pound House

II

This is a separate building from Pound Cottage, which was formerly listed as
Pound House. L-shaped. It was at one time an oasthouse, though not necessarily
built as such. Part of it is a C17 timber-framed building with plaster infilling,
but the ground floor has been rebuilt in red brick. It has been altered and
enlarged in brick at later dates. Tiled roof. Part of this formed a rectangular
oasthouse roof but this has been truncated when the building was converted into
a dwelling. Casement windows. Two storeys. Three windows.
