House, late C18 with C19 extension. Ashlar, hipped slate roof
with deep overhang at the eaves and 4 rendered stacks, 2 being to
the rear. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Set on a plinth with ground floor
sill band, 1st floor band and 1st floor sill band. Central
doorway with double half glazed doors with fielded panels and
traceried overlight, flanked by single Doric pilasters. A
further pair of Doric columns support the porch which has a
decorated entablature. Either side are single glazing bar
sashes with 3 similar sashes above. To the left, set back, is a
1.1/2 storey, 3 bay C19 ashlar extension with hipped slate roof
and 2 ashlar stacks, set on a plinth with 3 sashes and 3 similar
sashes above. The rear has a 6 fielded panel door with plain
overlight and single flanking pilasters supporting a slightly
projecting hood. Interior has a wrought iron 2 flight return
staircase with 2 balusters per tread. Alternating a tread with
balusters decorated with stylised leaves and one decorated with
knobs of acanthus. In the drawing room and breakfast room are
single carved wooden fireplaces.
