House. Probably an early C19 remodelling of an earlier house. Main range brick with
a slate roof, crosswing at right end rendered ; end stacks to crosswing, left end
stack to main range.
Plan Approximate L plan, the main range facing Silver Street is single depth with a
central entrance and a stair in a rear centre projection. The crosswing at the right
end projects slightly to the front and also has a central entrance leading into a
passage.
2 storeys. Symmetrical 5-bay front to Silver Street with a central front door with a
flat porch canopy. First floor sash above front door with glazing bars and margin
glazing. The other windows are 2-pane sashes, all windows with flat brick arches.
The gabled stair wing has a round-headed sash with glazing bars. The crosswing has a
symmetrical 3-bay front with a central front door with a rectangular fanlight with
Gothick glazing bars and a flat porch canopy carried on moulded brackets.
Fenestration of 3-light casements with arched lights except for 1 2-light casement
above door.
Interior not inspected but features of interest may survive; stick baluster dog-leg
stair with ramped handrail.
