12/543 Front boundary wall approx 30m
south of the Old Place

GV II

Boundary wall. Probably late C19. Coursed sandstone ashlar with brick
behind. Wall has chamfered plinth and low curving weathering to the coping
stones. It is faced in stone ashlar with stretcher bond brick behind
including some pilaster-like buttresses. Central gateway has square section
piers with soffit-chamfered caps.

This boundary wall plays an important role in the good group of listed
buildings in the vicinity of the Church of St Mary (q.v.).
