Hedsor House
TQ 3382 8/81
1899. Red brick with brown brick and yellow stocks. Colours used to form geometric
designs. Tiled roof with wide eaves soffit. 4 storeys and dormers, 33 windows
including 7 advanced single bays along facades which terminate in hipped roofs
and carry chimneys on one side. 1st to 3rd floor windows in recessed brick arches,
dormers separated by rendered panels. All sashes with glazing bars except 2 ranks
of casements. Ground and 3rd floor windows with segmental arches. Inner facade
to courtyard has interval angular and round towers. Rendered upper storey with
gables, centre one has scalloped darker rendering and stuccoed brackets below
Stucco dressings to some doors and tiled surrounds to others.
