Gatepiers. C18, restored late C20. Brick in English bond with stone dressings.
Four square-section piers flanking wide carriageway and narrow, pedestrian, side
entrances. Inner piers approx. 4 metres high, outer piers smaller and approx. 3
metres high. Each pier has plinth, the inner piers capstones and pineapple finials
(restored), the 2 western piers linked by scrolled iron bracket.
