Raised tomb chest monument, early C19. Sandstone ashlar. Classical
style. Square base and pedestal, square tomb chest with projecting
faces, prominent cornice to low pyramidal roof bearing a square urn of
2 tiers with simple pediments to the sides of both levels. All faces
lettered in memory of various members of the family, the earliest on
the west side: GILES ASHWORTH the elder of Edgworth, Gentleman,
died 1828.
