Semi-detached cottage, formerly two. C17, modified in C19 and C20. Ham stone cut and squared with ashlar dressings;
plain clay tiled roof with plain east gable; brick chimney stack. Two storeys, 3 bays. Hollow-chamfer mullioned
windows, the upper 2-light and lower 3-light, those to bays 1 and 2 being in wave-mould recesses, although that to
lower bay 1 is a C20 replacement in blocked doorway: bay 3 has a later, possibly C19, doorway to left, and is
straight-jointed with bay 2: the whole house set forward about 200mm from No. 47 (q.v). Interior not seen.
