8/57 The Cottage
Cottage. Mid C17. Timber framed with rendered red brick
nogging. Thatched roof. Single ridge red brick stack. Single
storey, 3 bays. The right single bay is gabled. Doorway with
C20 door, to the right is a single tripartite glazing bar
casement and to the left a single glazing bar casement. Visible
remains of timber frame include wall posts, groundsill beam, wall
plate. The left gable with remains of 3 posts, brace and upper
cruck. Interior has 2 curved braces. .
