GV II


House. Circa 1870-80. Squared volcanic stone built to courses with cream brick
dressings and chimney shafts; slate roof. 2 room with central staircase plan
facing south. 2 storeys. Symmetrical gable ended 2-window front. Central plank
door. Windows are 2-light casements with glazing bars and 8 panes per light, the
lower 2 under almost round segmental arches of cream brick. Low pitch slate roof
with deep bargeboards decorated with blind trefoil tracery and pendant at apex.
