Late mediaeval hall house with alterations. Visible on entrance front are the
2 left bays, originally floored, and part of the hall bay now floored at a higher
level. Large square framing with diagonal braces on 1st floor, brick ground floor.
High pitched long hipped tiled roof with gablet. Inserted C17 brick stack with
rebated angles. Modern dormer. Cross-gabled late Cl9 right wing projects and
has roof descending in catslide on left side covering most of hall bay. Tile hung
above, roughcast below, leaded casements. Left return of old house shows original
framing, no jettying. Probably C17 lean-to; and rest of back covered by later
additions.
