Small farmhouse, now house. Probably C17; altered.
White-painted render probably on timber-frame and
wattle-and-daub; thatched roof. Linear 3-unit plan (plus C20
lean-to addition to rear). One-and-a-half storeys; 3 C20
3-light casement windows at ground floor, a gabled porch
between the 2nd and 3rd, a very low 2-light half-dormer under
eyebrow eaves to left of door. Ridge chimney at junction of
1st and 2nd bays. Interior: ground floor modernised (including
inglenook fireplace); tie-beam roof trusses, that between 2nd
and 3rd bays with tie-beam severed for inserted doorway
(suggesting that centre bay was formerly open to roof);
crudely-shaped purlins and most rafters original. Only
surviving example of its type in the area covered by this
list.
