House. C17 with rear earlier range overlapping at NE corner, and
later additions. Timber framed and rendered and part cased in
soft red brick in Flemish bond. Roof hand made clay plain tiles.
Central brick stack to main range and external brick stack part
rendered at base, at north gable end of earlier range. 2-storey
and attic lobby entrance house with rear central stair tower and
single storey outshots. 2-storey 3-bay range at right angles to
main range. Front (S) elevation 3-window range, C20 tripartite
sash windows with small panes to ground and lst floors. 3 gabled
dormers with small paned casements. 2 bays brick cased with
arched window heads and remaining bay rendered with pentice
boards to windows. C20 brick gabled porch with plain tile roof.
Rendered single storey lean-to at east end with matching
tripartite windows. West elevation brick cased to ground and
first floor and rear outshot and rendered in gable end. Rear (N)
elevation of main range has central rendered stair tower with
small paned casements and hipped plain tile roof. Brick outshots
either side with boarded door and 3 casement windows. North,
gable end of earlier range is rendered with external brick stack
rendered at base. Central tapered section part-rendered with
square brick stack above with iron support. East elevation of
rear range plastered. 3-window range small casements with 4
panes/sash. Door at north end in modern open porch with plain
tile lean-to roof. Much of frame exposed internally including
fully framed side purlin roof to main range incorporating a
number of rafters from an earlier crown post roof. Clasped side
purlin roof to earlier range with wind bracing. Original dog-leg
stair in stair tower with simple square section balusters.
