Memorial cross. 1865. White Italian marble. A white marble cross on a chamfered plinth with a plain rectangular base. The cross commemorates John Herring of Meopham Bank, died 1864 and his wives and son.

John Herring, the C19 genre painter, lived at Meopham Bank (q.v.) from 1853-
1865.
