5/54 Gatepier frm former Nuthall
Temple (formerly listed as
13.10.66 Gatepier east of Three Ponds
II Public house)

Gatepier. c.1754. Probably by Thomas Wright. Coursed and
squared rubble and ashlar. Classical style. Square plan.
Plinth, 3 bands, moulded cornice, pedimented capital. North and
south sides have each a round headed niche. This building is
part of the architectural scheme of Nuthall Temple.
