- II

Farmhouse, now house. Early C18 main house with early C19 additions liking
it to an outbuilding with C17 core. Red brick (Flemish bond), plain tile
roof with raised verges, brick ridge and end stacks. Main house aligned

aligned north-east/south-west. These two buildings were linked in the early
C19 by a north-westerly extension of the main house, and the outbuilding was
balanced on the south side by a new wing. This resulted in the existing
cruciform plan. 2 storeys and attic with first floor band and dentilled
eaves band below a plain parapet. Straight joint between early C18 house
and the C19 extension to the left. The C18 building has a 3 window front
with C19 4-pane sashes within C18 openings with segmental heads. C20 six-
panel door to left of centre with rectangular overlight. Immediately to
the left of the C18 house is a C19 gabled wing with 2 window front of sashes
with segmental heads. Set-back to the left is the C19 extension to the main
range: 3 storeys; 2 bays, sashes with segmental heads. Interior. Early
C18 dog-leg staircase with turned balusters incorporating square knots.
C18 oak panelling in the Dining Room. C17 timber cross-frame with queen strut
