House, formerly 2 cottages, now house. Early C16 or earlier. Timber
framed with rendered infilling. Thatched roof. Open hall of 2 timber-
framed bays, with storeyed end bays. 2 storeys on stone plinth. Broadly-spaced
studding of thin scantling. Arch braces. Higher midrail to left hall
bay. Hipped roof. Multiple brick right stack to left hall bay and
projecting brick gable end stack to right, on stone plinth. Irregular
fenestration of three C20 wooden oriel windows. French doors to left end
of right end bay and blocked door under stack. Interior: exposed framing.
3 fireplaces (2 ground floor, one first floor) with tooled, chamfered stone
jambs. Collared common rafter roof. Lath and daub end-of-hall partitions
in roof.
