Detached house. C1830 with c1870 alterations. Yellow stock brick with
plain rendered bands. Slated hipped roof with brick stacks. 2 storeys
and basement. 3 windows plus single-window, slightly recessed
extension to left. Good Doric porch, with panelled door and overlight,
in slightly recessed central bay. Flanking bays have ground floor
canted bay windows with projecting cornices, added c1870; continuous
band at impost level. 1st floor 6-pane sashes with continuous sill
band. Interior retains many features including original marble chimney
pieces with bracketed mantles, grates, kitchen range, open string
stair with stick balusters; good c1870 plasterwork including filigree
cornices and rose.
