Pair of Firemen's Houses. 1925-27. Designed by A. E. and T. Sawday. Red brick, partly
rendered with plain tile hipped roofs. 3 ridge stacks. Brick plinth. Quoins and eaves band
with corner brackets. 2 storey. 6 window front. Recessed centre has two 2-light glazing bar
casements and above 2 similar, smaller casements. Projecting side wings each have inner
doorways with brick surrounds and part glazed doors, plus outer 2-light glazing bar
casements. Above the doors a single fixed light with glazing bars, and beyond single 2-light
glazing bar casements.

This pair of houses were built as part of the firemen's accommodation provided with the
Leicester Fire Station.
