The following building shall be added to the list;

LEICESTER ST BARNABAS ROAD

Public library. 1937. Designed by Symington, Prince & Pike.
Reinforced concrete with red brick cladding. Brick plinth.
Moderne style. Single storey, with a tall circular clerestorey
central hall. Entrance, to French Street, has recessed curved
entrance with projecting porch. Eitherside single 3-light
cross casements, outer projecting wings have strips of narrow
windows each with 3 casements. Set-back rotunda has very tall
casement windows. St Barnabas Road front has central door with
flanking strips of 2 casements on eitherside. To the right a
tall circular stack to the former boiler-room. All corners are
curved, and all walls topped with concrete coping.
Interior retains original built in bookshelves, doors, stepped
coving, banded columns and glazed roof lights.
