Public house with living accommodation above, mid/late C19. Brick,
with faience to ground floor, stucco to first floor, felted slate roof. 3
storeys, 4 bays. c.1900 public house frontage to ground floor with panels
of polychrome relief ornament below sills. Shallow plinth. Wide tripartite
window to left, of which centre light is recessed and of curved convex plan;
ornamental glazing bars. Semicircular-arched window to right, with carved
mullions and transom. Paired doorway between the windows and doorway to far
left, all with 6-panelled doors, overlights and polychrome faience
pilasters. Bracketed fascia and cornice. Upper floors have canted timber
oriel windows with sashes to first, 2nd and 4th bays of first floor. Other
windows are recessed sashes, sill bands to each upper floor. Wrought iron
ornamental bracket supporting late C20 sign, between bays 3 and 4 on first
floor. Shallow-pitched roof with end stacks.
