Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. Dated 1829. Coursed squared gritstone,
graduated stone slate roof. A plain rectangular building aligned north-
south, with entry in south gable; approximately 5 bays long. South gable
end: central C20 double doors in stone surround; 2 large windows to first
floor: stone surrounds with projecting sills. Datestone above door:
'Wesleyan Methodist Chapel 1829' with biblical quotation. Stone rainwater
head (linked to stone gutter on east side) with probably original iron
downpipe, right. Kneelers, returned as eaves bands. Gable coping and
circular chimney pot at apex. North gable: paired window as south; similar
windows to west and east sides. Attached block to north-west, dated 1923,
not of special interest. The datestone is possibly a mid-late C19 recut of
the original.
