Oast house. Circa 1840 with later additions and alterations. Red brick, timber
frame with weatherboarded cladding. Hipped and half hipped plain tile roof. Two
storey double pile stowage range with pitched roofs half hipped at west end, 3
cylindrical kilns: a larger and a smaller diameter kiln at the east end and a large
diameter kiln adjoining the centre of the north side of the stowage range. The
larger kiln at the east end roofed with a hipped continuation of the pitched roof on
the north side of the stowage range. The smaller kiln has a tiled cone with timber
cowl and vane. Kiln on the north side reduced to eaves level and covered with a
flat corrugated iron roof. West end of stowage range timber framed with weatherboarded
cladding to first floor above ground floor cart entries with double boarded doors to
right side; on first floor a 3-light casement in lefthand gable wall and a central
loft door with flanking 2-light casement to right and window aperture to left in right
hand gable wall, other walls have small single or 2 light casements. Listed for
group value only.
