Railway Signal Box. 1901. Painted wood and metal and Welsh slate hipped roof
with finials. Midland Railway type 2B. Steps up to doorway and gangway. Windows
with glazing bars. This box provided the prototype for the Airfix Model
construction kit in production since the 1950s. Forms a group with Oakham Level
Crossing Footbridge (qv) and Oakham Railway Station (qv).
