House in grounds, c.1840 with later C19 alterations to fenestration and verandah.
Rubble stone walls, now roughcast and painted. Hipped slate roof. Rendered and
painted stacks on ridge left of centre and at right hand hip. 2 storeys and
attics. 4 windows and one window to C19 extension. First floor has sashes with
thin glazing bars (16 pane), stone cills. Ground floor has 3 French windows of
later C19, and a sash window to right of this. Front door, right of centre, 6
flush panels and fanlight with radiating glazing bars. Verandah with cast iron
treillage standards and entablature pentice glazed roof over, at west corner
this returns north and has been converted to small conservatory. Rear elevation
has irregular fenestration of sashes, with casements over. 3 doors: plank, C20
door, C19 flush panel door. (R.C.H.M. Dorset II, p.393(18).)
