Bridge and boat-house, with associated basin. C18. Sandstone ashlar. Oval
basin approx. 20 metres across, with outlet sluice at east end. Private road
bridge at west end has a single segmental arch with rusticated voussoirs and
raised keystone, flanked by channelled piers; roll-moulded band; chamfered
coping, carrying ornamental fleur-de-lys-headed railings (alternately wavy
and straight), with open-work standards over the piers Entrance to boat-
house on south side, in matching style (but without the railings) modern
light-weight roof to rear of earth-covered vault.
