House. 'WD 1794' on a brick to front right, fragmentary C17 origins to rear,
extended and altered mid to late C19. Flint with white brick dressings,
colourwashed red brick additions. Hipped black glazed pantiled roof with
slates to rear. 3 bay block with rear lean-to and service additions. All 2
storeys. Steps up to central entrance, part glazed, part raised fielded 6
panelled door with a segmental brick head. Knapped flint facade with white
brick storey band and articulation to bays, offset plinth, dentilled brick
eaves. Over entrance a 3:3 pane recessed sash with a gauged brick flat arched
head. Outer full height C19 rendered canted bays, ground floor 6:9:6 pane
sashes with scalloped hoodboards, first floor 4:6:4 panes. Axial white brick
stacks behind outer bays. Rear lean-to left return 2-light segmental headed
casement, first floor 3:3 pane sash, mixed fenestration and a 2-light corniced
box dormer to rear. Service range added to rear right in 2 phases: 2 bays
nearest house have an arched through passage and an inner door, 2 rear bays
have inner open ground floor with timber uprights, first floor timber studs
with brick nogging and 2 architraved glazing bar sashes, an outer door, a
cross axial ridge stack between 2 sections, outer mixed sashes and casements.
Rear gable end wall has some earlier English bond brickwork, gable ends have
moulded kneelers to parapets. Interior: dogleg staircase with slat balusters,
moulded ramped handrail, turned newel posts, to rear 2 chamfered binding beams
with flat joists.
