GV II

House, mid to later C18, squared ironstone with ashlar dressings
and hipped stone slate roof. Moulded brick south end stack. Two
storeys, L-plan, 3-window range to front of cyma-moulded flush
mullion windows, 3-light to sides, 2-light to first floor centre.
Central flush panelled door in moulded flush surround with broken
pediment on brackets. South end original 2-light to ground floor
and C20 two-light above. Rear wing with projecting C19 two-
storey gable to south. House is marked on J. Powell 1763 map as
White Hart Inn and on 1776 map as Turnpike.
