Probably later C18. House and outbuildings in one range. Rubble. House is
of 2 storeys and has 2 windows, evidently enlarged and modernised, with
central doorway within rustic gabled porch. Ridge chimneys at each end. Outbuildings to the right, of similar length and under same shallow-pitched
roof of old slates. Large vehicular doorway on left and recessed 6 panel
door grouped with similar window to those of house on right. Slate facings
to heads of outbuilding openings. The range is conspicuous on the road to
Rydal Mount and is partly listed for its proximity to this and the other
neighbouring listed buildings.
