Formerly known as: The Prince of Wales Inn BRIDGE STREET.
House, formerly inn, now shop and dwelling. Early C19, to
earlier core(?). Roughcast; C20 pantile roof with gable to
street; brick end stack, and stepped buttress stack to right.
3 storeys; 4-window range: C20 6/6 sashes under cambered
heads, flanked by 10/10 sashes; C20 2-light casements under
cambered heads, over; brick modillion eaves. Central entrance:
half-glazed C20 door, and swagged fanlight in moulded
round-headed architrave with keyblock, under awning-roofed
porch on cast-iron trelliswork; flanked by 10/10 sashes;
storey band. Rear: protruding panel suggests remodelling of
earlier building.
