GV II

House, now guest house. Early C18. Painted brick; hipped slate
roof; brick ridge stack.
3 storeys and cellar; 3-window range: central 6/6 sash with
cambered head under stucco arch with keystone, flanked by
Venetian windows with central "Gothick" glazed sash in stucco
cases with keyblocks; central fixed light flanked by lunettes,
under brick arches with keyblocks; moulded stone(?) cornice to
eaves. Central entrance: C19 part-glazed panelled door and
trefoil overlight, in moulded case under moulded cambered hood
on scrolled brackets; flanked by Venetian windows. Right
returned side: 6/6 sash and 2 blocked openings, with moulded
cases under stucco lintels with keyblocks; 3/3 sash and
blocked openings; returned cornice; mutilated 6/6 sash and
blocked openings, to ground floor; some old glass; stucco
plinth.
INTERIOR: exposed posts, braces and massive joists; cusped
principal rafters; "Gothick" headed blocked light; mutilated
winder stair.
