School. Dated 1842. Dressed stone, slate roof. Single storey,
8 bays. End bays project, left end with coped gable.
Off-centre a steep gable slightly projects with large ornate
barge boards and datestone, stone bellcote over gable with
square wooden bell-turret behind. All stone mullion windows
some with dripmoulds, 2 large stone mullion-transom windows
rise through eaves with hipped roofs. 3 small buttresses at
front. Stone chimney stacks. Built on the site of the old
grammar school.
