Wall and gate piers. Mid C19. Gritstone and ashlar. Wall
approx 15m long and 2.5m high with flat coping and gateway to
left of centre. Piers of large gritstone ashlar blocks, square
section, pedimented capstone, slightly taller than the wall.
Built to secure the rear yard area of Nos 23 & 25 Great George
Street (qv), the premises of Schunk, Souchay and Co,
international stuff and yarn merchants.
Included for group value.
