574-1/1/224 Barn approx. 4m to north of Little
Beeleigh Farmhouse

GV II

Barn. Early C17. Red English-bond brickwork with low-pitched
half-hipped slate roof with black weatherboarded gables and
gabled midstrey of black weatherboarding over timber-frame, on
east side. West elevation has 5 unequally spaced buttresses
with weathered tops and with one former offset, now removed.
Wide double-boarded door under segmental arched head. The
lower part of walls have ventilator slots in each bay with
moulded flat brick heads and splayed internal reveals. Further
blocked rectangular openings and 2 pitching holes on west
elevation.
INTERIOR: roof of substantial tie beams with early C19
V-strutted construction above.
