House. c1840-50. Mottled brick with slate roof.
EXTERIOR: single storey. One bay to each side of porch. The
windows are glazing bar sashes. The roof is carried down above
2 projecting brick walls to form an open porch. The inner
doorway has a door with 6 raised and fielded panels, and an
overlight with margin panes. A lower wing at the left is blind
except for a small window towards its right.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: formerly the herdsman's cottage of Walmgate
Stray.
