1858. Possibly by Smith and Parnell. Distinguished classical building, Stone
with considerable enrichment. 4 storeys. 7 windows. Round arched entrance
with order of engaged Doric columns and carved decoration. Pedimented 1st floor
windows with carving especially to centre, also to frieze between top floor
windows. Large-rich crowning cornice with brackets. Altered interior but stair
retains decorative iron balustrade (partly encased). Main room on 1st floor
of interest.

No 1 (with south extension of White Swan Hotel) White Swan Hotel and Princess
Buildings together with all the listed buildings in Crossley Street, No 2
Wade Street and No 12, Nos 18 to 22 (even), Nos 17 to 33 (odd) Northgate and No 2
Crown Street form an important group.
