Early C19 house, once a Dower house of Halstead Place estate. 3 storeys, 3
windows. Red brick with random blue headers. Moderately low pitched, hipped
slate roof with eaves soffit. Gauged flat red brick arches to recessed sash
windows with glazing bars. Late C19 canted bay on ground floor right. Door
of 6 headed panels in panelled reveal with moulded architrave around. Cornice
hood on carved console brackets. Modern low left extension. C19 2-storey,
3-window right extension. Inside, traces of an older core, ie early C18 staircase
much restored, with new treads and handrail, a carved pine fireplace surround
and some moulded cornices. Kitchen wing of flint with brick dressings.
