2 adjoining cottages. Late C18 with C19 alterations. Rendered stone rubble and
cob, with brick dressings to Thatch Cottage. Thatch roof with gable ends. Brick
ridge stack, brick stack at left gable end with bread oven projection to front and
lateral brick stack to rear right end.
Plan: interiors much altered in C20. Leol Cottage to left now consisting of direct
entry into single principal room with C20 staircase to front right-hand corner,
Thatch Cottage of 2 rooms, that to right heated by rear lateral stack, with central
entrance lobby which has staircase at rear accessible from left-hand room.
2 storeys. Leol Cottage has 2 window range, with C20 window and small 2-light
casement, 4 panes per light, lighting staircase to right above single light window
to left of shallow leanto porch with plank inner door. Thatch Cottage to right has
brick surrounds to principal windows. 2 window range, all 2-light casements, 2
panes per light with late C20 replacement to right-hand upper storey window. C20
thatched gabled canopy to C19. 6 panelled door.
Interior: entirely altered in C20. Roof not inspected.
